Scholarships 2011 Description: This program provides opportunities for university graduates, masters and doctoral degree candidates, and young professionals and artists to study and conduct research in the United States.


Grant Types:
- Master Degree Grants: up to two years for persons wishing to pursue postgraduate degrees in the U.S.
- Non-degree Grants: six to nine months for persons registered for advanced degrees in Egyptian universities who wish to conduct research in the U.S.
- Fine and Applied Arts Grants: six to nine months for artists who wish to conduct field research or attend master classes with professionals in the U.S.

Scholarships Study The Office of Academic Exchange Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U. S. Department of State, is pleased to announce a new exchange program for undergraduate students-the 2012 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD)


Scholarships The Global UGRAD Program provides scholarships for one semester or one academic year of U.S. Study in a NON-DEGREE Program. The goals of the program are to provide a diverse group of emerging student leaders, from non-elite and underrepresented groups in Indonesia and East Asia.

Scholarships All global UGRAD Program participants will be enrolled full-time in undergraduate course work chosen from the institution’s (US) existing curriculum to allow students ample opportunity for ongoing interaction with U.S. Faculty and student peers, and for exposure to U.S. academic and classroom culture.

Scholarships To ensure that students succeed in their new academic environments, host institutions will offer tailored instruction on topics including academic research and writing, critical thinking, time management, note taking, and studying for and taking tests. Participants will live on campus with American peers.

Scholarships Students will also be provided with opportunities to participate in up to ten hours of community service per semester. Additionally, an internship component will be offered to all academic-year participants during the academic component of the program. Internships will be related to each participant’s field of study and/or career plans.

Participants may be eligible for up to 4 weeks of intensive English Language instruction in the United States prior to the start of academic portion of their program.

Scholarships Eligibility:
Scholarships will be granted to students who currently are enrolled in S-1 degree programs only, and have completed their first semester and up to their firth semester of undergraduate study at an Indonesian university.
Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential through academic work, community involvement, and extracurricular activities.

Applicants must have minimum institutional TOEFL score of 500-score or IELTS 5.0 less than two years old. In some cases a personal interview by a fluent qualified Native English Speaker who can confirm that the nominee would be able to achieve that score when tested is acceptable. Candidates must also meet all the requirements of the institution where admission is being sought.

Preference will be given to those who have had little or NO experience in the U.S. or outside of their home countries.
Applications can be for either for one semester or two semesters based on nominee’s availability. No applications should be submitted for both one semester and full year programs.
Applicants are required to return to Indonesia after the completion of the one or two semester program.

USA Scholarship Description: The University of Texas at Austin has been invited to nominate qualified students to be considered for the scholarship. A committee of faculty and staff will review applications and select up to six nominees for the national competition. The Foundation does not accept applications directly from students.

The Udall Foundation seeks future leaders across a wide spectrum of environmental fields, including policy, engineering, science, education, urban planning and renewal, business, health, justice and economics. The Foundation also seeks future Native American and Alaska Native leaders in public and community health care, tribal government and public policy affecting Native American communities, including land and resource management, economic development and education.
In 2011, the Foundation expects to award 80 scholarships and 50 honorable mentions on the basis of merit to sophomore and junior level college students

Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
be a current University of Texas at Austin student with sophomore or junior standing in the 2010-2011 academic year
study the environment or a related field, or be a Native American or Native Alaskan studying health care or tribal policy.

Scholarships Description: The University Center for Human Values seeks candidates for the Harold T. Shapiro Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bioethics for an anticipated opening in September 2011. The Shapiro Fellowship supports outstanding scholars studying ethical issues arising from developments in medicine or the biological sciences. The search committee particularly encourages proposals focusing on problems of practical importance that have broader theoretical interest.

The Harold T. Shapiro Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bioethics was created in 2002 to provide an opportunity for an outstanding scholar to spend from one to three years at Princeton to further their scholarship and participate in the University’s teaching program.

Eligibility
Applicants must have completed all the requirements for the Ph.D., M.D., or other equivalent doctoral degree by September 1, 2011. Applications will be evaluated on the basis of the applicant’s previous accomplishments and the promise of their proposed research project in bioethics.

USA Scholarship for Graduate Flexographic Technical Association 2011

Scholarship Description: The Foundation of FTA awards scholarships to eligible candidates. Each scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $3,000. Occasionally, the Foundation of FTA will grant scholarship awards (as the funds become available) out of its General Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship recipients will be selected at the next FFTA Annual Forum. Winners will be notified shortly after. Each scholarship award becomes official when the recipient is enrolled in the approved college for the year in which the scholarship has been granted. Alternate winners will receive scholarships only if a primary winner becomes ineligible during the scholarship year.
A scholarship is awarded for one year of study. Renewal is possible provided the scholarship recipient maintains an acceptable scholastic average, and continues in an approved program of study. Scholarship renewal is not automatic. It is the student’s responsibility to apply for a scholarship renewal.
