The selected researcher will be responsible for the following activities: i) Assess the evolution of the sugarcane productive chain and the production of fuels since the 90s; ii) Assess the evolution of agribusiness in Brazil also since the 90s and the national production of feed cultures, import and export of food with a comparison with the energetic necessities to satisfy the recommendations to the Brazilian population; iii) Construction of a national agribusiness profile and national sovereignty with the correlation of these data with the feed and nutritional security of the Brazilian population; iv) Co-supervise a scientific initiation student and support the elaboration of research reports during the development of the Project and the publication of results. The candidate should have experience in rural issues, in its economic (production and distribution) and social (employment, demographics, social participation and others) aspects, and be able to multi and interdisciplinary work, as this will be needed for the development of the research activities. The selected researcher will be responsible for the following activities: i) Assess the evolution of the sugarcane productive chain and the production of fuels since the 90s; ii) Assess the evolution of agribusiness in Brazil also since the 90s and the national production of feed cultures, import and export of food with a comparison with the energetic necessities to satisfy the recommendations to the Brazilian population; iii) Construction of a national agribusiness profile and national sovereignty with the correlation of these data with the feed and nutritional security of the Brazilian population; iv) Co-supervise a scientific initiation student and support the elaboration of research reports during the development of the Project and the publication of results. The candidate should have experience in rural issues, in its economic (production and distribution) and social (employment, demographics, social participation and others) aspects, and be able to multi and interdisciplinary work, as this will be needed for the development of the research activities. It should also be fluent for making oral presentations and write scientific articles in English.

Eligibility:
-Citizens or permanent residents from any country (foreign nationals must be able to hold a valid passport and obtain a J1 Visa)
-Men and women with outstanding capabilities and experience from a wide variety of -backgrounds (including government, the corporate world, professions, and academia)
-Academic candidates holding a Ph.D. (Ph.D. must be received by the application deadline of October 1)
-Academic candidates demonstrating scholarly achievement by publications beyond their doctoral dissertations
-Practitioners or policymakers with an equivalent level of professional achievement
-English proficiency as the Center is designed to encourage the exchange of ideas among its fellows
Scholarships Description: The Wilson Center invites scholars, practitioners, journalists and public intellectuals to take part in its flagship Fellowship Program and to take advantage of the opportunity to engage actively in the Center’s national mission. The Center awards approximately 22-25 residential fellowships through its annual international fellowship competition. Fellows will be affiliated with one of the Wilson Center programs/projects and are encouraged to interact with policy makers in Washington, D.C. as well as with Wilson Center staff who are working on similar research and topics.

The project will explore links between motion, attention and time in a neurological population as well as in normal subjects. Moreover TMS and tDCS will be used as techniques to study the direct relationship between brain functions and behavior.
