Eligibility:
The joint astrophysics group in the Haifa area, Israel, expects to offer one or more postdoctoral fellowship positions. The main selection criteria will be outstanding research accomplishments, creativity and promise of future achievement. The position is for one to three years pending on progress. Fellows are expected to carry out both independent original research, as well as collaborative work with faculty and/or students. Current faculty members in the astrophysics group include Ehud Behar, Doron Chelouche, Ari Laor, Adi Nusser, Hagai Perets and Noam Soker
Scholarship Description: Applicants should include a CV and a description of research work, and arrange to have three confidential letters of recommendation sent to the email address below. Description of research work/interests should not exceed 3 pages (and at most 1-2 additional pages for references and figures). Students carry out their research work over up to four years in two universities from different countries, with additional mobility to industry in most projects. Joint training schools will cover both scientific topics and transferable skills, such as project and scientific management, communication, innovation techniques. EMJD-DC will initially award double degrees, however a task will study pathways to the implementation of a Joint Degree.

A doctoral Scholarship programme for entrepreneurial scientists and engineers
The new NUS PhD-MBA (www.phd-mba.nus.edu.sg), Asia’s first PhD-MBA, aims to attract and train talented science and engineering students who have the potential to create and lead technology companies. The programme is jointly hosted by the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering (www.nus.edu.sg/ngs/) and the NUS Business School (www.bschool.nus.edu.sg).
Students develop their research skills by doing a PhD in any scientific or engineering discipline, choosing among a wide range of subjects, projects, departments and advisers. Concurrently they develop their business acumen by working on an MBA. Internships in technology companies provide practical technology business training.
