Scholarships for 2011 The Fulbright-Nehru Master’s for Leadership Development are designed for outstanding young Indians to pursue a master’s degree program at selected U.S. colleges and universities.
Study Subject: Arts and Culture Management including Heritage Conservation and Museum Studies, Communication Studies, Conflict Resolution, Economics, Environment, Public Administration, Urban and Regional Planning, and Women’s Studies.

Scholarships 2011 Description: The program is for highly motivated individuals who demonstrate leadership qualities, have completed the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree, have at least three years professional work experience, and are committed to return and contribute to their communities. These fellowships are for one to two years.
Eligibility Requirements
In addition to the General Prerequisites, the applicants should:
* have completed an equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university with at least 55% marks. Applicants should either possess a four-year bachelor’s degree or a completed master’s degree, if the bachelor’s degree is of less than four years’ duration;
* have at least three years’ full time (paid or voluntary) professional or work experience relevant to their proposed field of study;
*demonstrate experience in leadership and community service;
*should not have another degree from a U.S. university or be enrolled in a US degree program; and
* preferably be in the age group of 25-30 years.

Scholarships 2011 Description: The Economic & Social Research Council is the main provider of postgraduate awards in the areas of economic and social sciences. The University of Leeds has been allocated a number of studentships as part of the White Rose Doctoral Training Centre (WR DTC), a major new collaboration between the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York with a total of 48 ESRC studentships per year over 5 years. The WR DTC is one of the largest consortia in the country and offers a wealth of supervisory expertise across the social sciences as well as numerous training opportunities, particularly focused upon maximising the social and economic benefits of research. These studentships are held in certain clusters/pathways and may be available on either a 1+3 or +3 basis (or a 2+2 or 2+5 basis in a more limited number of cases), depending on the chosen pathway.
Eligibility: Applicants MUST first submit a research degree study application form and be in receipt of a University BANNER ID Number to be eligible for a White Rose Research Studentship. Applications without a valid University ID Number will be rejected. To apply for a place on a research degree programme, Applicants must hold a First Degree at undergraduate level equivalent to at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree. Applicants should either have graduated with the appropriate First Degree or be in their final year of study; Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the University’s English Language requirements. Some Schools require a standard of English higher than the University minimum;
