Eligibility:
Merit of the proposed project (seminar, course, research or other educational experience proposed) and its appropriateness to furthering the applicant’s professional development.
• Qualifications of applicant (must be AIC Fellow or Professional Associate)
• Preference may be given to applicants who will publish/lecture on the proposed project (thereby disseminating knowledge/skills gained) • Preference may be given to applicants who have not received FAIC funding within the past three years



Scholarship Description: Applications will be reviewed and a recommendation will be made to the FAIC board for final approval. Notification of awards will be six weeks after each deadline. Projects should take place six weeks to twelve months after the application deadline. Electronic submissions are encouraged but not required.

Important: you may submit your application electronically only if all of your materials (with the exception of letters of support) can be submitted electronically. Send the application form and all supporting materials in PDF (portable document format), RTF (rich text format) or Microsoft Word format. Name the files to include your last name (“smithcv.doc” or “smith.pdf”). Send the files as e-mail attachments to faicgrants@aicfaic. org. You should receive an e-mail receipt within 72 hours. If not submitting electronically, send five copies of application and supporting materials to AIC at 1156 15th Street NW, Suite 320, Washington DC, 20005.

Research Scholarships Application Deadline: September 15 of each year

Scholarship 2011 Description: The following text will give you information to prepare and submit your application to the Call for Proposals within the Networking Pilot Programme (NPP) of New INDIGO. If questions arise or you want to check the eligibility of your consortium, please contact the NPP Secretariat or your National Contact Point. o European participating partners can apply for a maximum of 10 % (depending on national regulations) of the budget in a flexible mode as “other costs”.

These costs could consist of small equipment, consumables and other project related miscellaneous expenses. Indian participating partners can apply for a non-fixed maximum of personnel and minor equipment costs, as long as the funding for internationalisation of research is not diminished.The NPP follows the “juste retour” principle, which means national funding will be assigned to participants of that respective country. Researchers participating in a multinational project therefore receive funding from their national representative, in accordance with the national regulations.
