Eligibility:-The PhD scholarship has a duration of three years.
-Applicants to the PhD scholarship must hold a degree equivalent to a Danish Master’s degree.
-Applicants enrolled at a Danish Master programme who expect to graduate before the date of appointment must forward a copy of their Master thesis contract and documentation for the date of their final exam.
-Appointment as Post doc researcher, (6), which is a 2-year position, presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD level or similar scientific qualifications.
-The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment, as will the pedagogical qualifications including experience with project supervision and lecturing.
-To a limited extent other kinds of assignments may be relevant.

Scholarships Description: At the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Political Science, 5 or 6 PhD scholarships and possibly also 1 Post doc scholarship are vacant at the Centre for Comparative Welfare Studies, Aalborg University. The Faculty of Social Sciences wishes to ensure that PhD scholarships provide career opportunities both within and outside of the university. For that reason, PhD scholarships are formed in a manner ensuring that the competencies achieved in the position qualifies to both a career within research and a career in the private and/or public sector. Visiting fellows are associated with faculty and honorary faculty of the Centre, and the research work is carried out in the host institution in the broad areas of Life Sciences (including molecular and developmental biology, chronobiology, genetics, ecology, behaviour); Materials Sciences (including nanoscience); Chemical Sciences (including solid-state chemistry, theoretical/computational chemistry, and inorganic, physical and organic chemistry); Physical Sciences (including experimental and theoretical condensed-matter and materials physics, statistical physics, organic electronics and experimental nano biotechnology); Engineering Sciences (including fluid dynamics, nonlinear dynamics, and thermal and chemical engineering); and Atmospheric Sciences. The fellowship is tenable for 3 months and the total period of stay in the Centre should be no less than 60 days. The fellowship carries an honorarium of Rs 25000 per month
