-US applicants with only a Bachelor must have successfully completed courses in Biophysics and must have laboratory experience leading to a research thesis.

The theory behind the scholarship is to allow the recipient to devote the majority of his or her time to educational pursuits, as well as leadership and research opportunities. This annual scholarship is renewable for up to four years, provided the student maintains good academic standing and satisfactory progress and remains an active member of the Honors program.
